Science meets Wisdom

Science meets Wisdom

Preface: A fool lets himself be told nothing – the wise man lets himself be rebuked!

Proverbs 1, 7: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Fools despise wisdom and discipline.

In the last two years I was reproached by conversational partners that they better trust science or rather their doctor. This ended discussions. In an upcoming court hearing, even my state of mind is being questioned by conspirators because I do not share their ideology. As an outspoken lover of wisdom literature, I am used to absorb blows. When preaching the gospel on the King’s Road, it was common to be reviled. Before I make many words, I let the end of Kohelet (preacher, teacher, collector of sayings) speak:

Ecclesiastes 12:11-14: The words of the wise are as drovers’ spikes, and as hammered nails are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd. And moreover, my son, be warned: there is no end to much bookmaking, and much study wearies the body. In the end, let us hear the sum of it all: Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this every man ought to do. For God will bring all works into judgment, all that is hidden, whether good or evil.

The only good shepherd is Jesus Christ. In no other name is salvation, for he alone is the Savior of mankind.

Do you know better?

The totality of human knowledge of an epoch does not mean the solution of all problems. A system of knowledge about essential features and laws of nature and technology to society and mindset does not necessarily lead to the welfare of a nation. Besides reliably researched laws of nature there are values and rules which were morally validly recognized. Now in a godless society inappropriate, not cosmopolitan Bible inscriptions belong according to the contemporary way of thinking of the Minister of State for Culture and Media on the restored Berlin City Palace veiled, in order not to exclude others. The Christian occident with the tradition of Ten Commandments is devalued to the meaningless history and as spiritual garbage in handling its fellow men.

Everyone should believe and do what he wants and considers right, because the truth can be found everywhere.

One trend of our time is to embrace the novel and strange, and to abandon familiar, tried-and-true paths. Young, studious people are less likely to listen to the advice of experienced grandparents and more likely search in Google for answers. Seemingly, we are getting smarter in the new information society, as a wealth of data is disseminated on an unprecedented scale through the Internet and artificial intelligence. In transhumanism, science and technology are supposed to ensure that the crown of creation becomes a cyborg or, even more immodestly, a god. After the tech visionary Elon Musk has filled the earth’s orbit with satellites with Starlink, which hover glowingly over our heads as falling space junk, the richest man in the world announces that he will network the human brain with the computer through Neuralink. As a gambler who is used to success and puts a lot of money on one card, it is important to assess opportunities and risks correctly in the business world.

Tesla and Twitter speak for themselves – the camel and the eye of the needle send their regards!

Contemporarily, with 5G from above, every Bedouin in the desert can be located. Of course, the question of costs and benefits arises. The idea of being able to quickly find a stubborn donkey or a goat that has wandered off can be appreciated. And guard my Queen! Sheik Abimelech can challenge me to a game of speed chess on Lichess. But does our mind really benefit when machines take over thinking and control everything? In an analysis, there will be no more winners and losers in my hobby due to boring draw games. However, the fascinating thing about chess matches are the own moves with alternating errors in the calculation.

Irrefutably, there is a change in society. The key words here are advancing digitization, climate targets and the panic pandemic. Germany has changed, but it has not necessarily become wiser. I can see this in the lower level of education of our politicians, who imagine that they have an answer for everything in their constant legislative resolutions. In order to assert themselves in parliament, it is important to have a big mouth in debates, but there is usually nothing behind it. Even health economists with professorial degrees are not infallible. In any case, a healthy distrust grows in greedy ministers who turn out to be cheating doctors in plagiarism scandals. Those who would like to see one of the old heads of character as representatives of the people back in government, get a young global leader without university degree. As a WEF substitute from Davos, the handsome Fluff&Spokesman for the economic elite, does not make a slip of the tongue in press conferences. This progressive phenomenon can certainly be described as an antisocial change, whereby an subversive, militant foreign minister (ret.) in a non-violent civil society does not have to be ashamed of having once thrown stones and dealt out blows. In non-violent marches, a million people took to the streets in 1983 to protest in human chains against the deployment of American Pershing II missiles. Earlier, top Green politicians ensured that demonstrations against occupiers and nuclear missiles were held in peace marches at Easter, instead of demanding arms deliveries to war zones and calling pacifism a distant dream. Foreign missions of the Bundeswehr and billion packages for armament were once unthinkable for morally highly knitted, colorful eco-world improvers. At the moment with Pippilotta Victualia Rollgardinia Peppermint Ephraimsdaughter Longstocking grown up Greta Tintin Eleonara Ernmann Thunberg activists cantillate the following song as life sketch:

What should I do today?

So, if the own attitude of the quasi-religious movement agrees with the government program, it is no problem to call for criminal acts. Quite certainly, § 240 StGB describes the coercion as an act of violence. O poor homeland! At present in good old Germany little surprisingly, deviant earth saviors:gender*in are met as troublemakers in museums or on concerts. These are difficult to get rid of again. To a genuine plague develop straight the absurd climatic stickers on the road. Having no time to spare, the cunning last generation blocks the ordinary dull citizens on their way to work or, as a precaution, paralyzes the capital’s airport for vacationers seeking rest. The masks fall. In the New World Order, only privileged politicians with whatever lobbyists of the non-existent Deep State can afford carefree air travel and expensive e-car driving. Top secret! Power struggles are held by wire-pullers preferentially at international meetings behind closed doors. The gene-treated and chipped average Joe longing for the social credit system should not concern himself with inflationary conspiracy theories about total control concerning his nailed up future in further lockdowns. Or do German citizens usually get sympathy for ten dead in an apartment fire in the Xinjiang province? Especially in China, corona demonstrations have recently become extremely popular with our established media. That’s why you rely on the First German Television with the Tagesschau. Power outages are becoming the norm. Gas is running out anyway. In winter we heat with subsidized solar power. The necessary end of fossil fuels had to be initiated, otherwise we will all freeze to death, die or be warmed up.

Contradiction futile!

The end of the world will be prevented, come what may. Heroes are needed for this. Science fiction movies to fight robots or aliens, with huge meteorite impacts or the flooding of the earth are the godfathers. From history books one could know that empires and advanced civilizations replace themselves continuously. As reason all kinds of nonsense or the world empires foresighted book of Daniel can be quoted. The king of Babel once trembled before the fearsome writing on the wall, for he was weighed and found wanting in acting disrespectfully with God’s sacred vessels:

Mene tekel upharsin – Counted, weighed and divided!

Belshazzar was killed the same night after Babylon was taken by the Medes. The collapse of unscalable walls can take place by undermining them. In the predicted fall of the city of Nineveh, another prophet named Jonah even emerged from the belly of a great fish. Prophesies of God’s judgment for our many sins are unpopular and are not taken seriously by pagans today anyway. A sincere repentance of the people, by fasting and turning to God, is not to be expected in this time of crisis. Basically, old paths are abandoned and new virtues are chosen to deal with the problem.

The term “epochal change” was chosen as the word of the year today, December 9, 2022, by the German Language Society.

The strong, sovereign nation-state is being abolished by great masterminds of left-wing patriotism. Party leaders who always find patriotism disgusting and have never known what to do with Germany are not critically observed by the State Security Service. After all, the welcoming globalization combined with the largest wave of immigration of skilled workers of all times alone makes progress possible. The Counsel on Foreign Relations, as a think tank, focuses on proper foreign policy relations and the security of us all. Talking of which, America First presidents repeatedly demand that we invest more money in their defense equipment and export fewer goods. As a thank you, stimulus money flows from the friendly United States. Listen and be amazed at their origin by burning dirty oil. Aileen Getty successfully connects the Climate Emergency Fund in the Atlantic Bridge. Thus the pay of criminal EU climate extremists is secured, only half-heartedly prosecuted by sympathetic judges.

How stupid can one actually be?

The authoritarian state broadcasting determines in comments of selected experts and endless discussion rounds about us and the jurisdiction. Thus, the Ethics Council or the Honorary President of the German Medical Association cannot be questioned even in the recommended suspension of fundamental rights because our health has been threatened. Dissenting expressions of opinion about right and wrong or good and evil belong to be banned, since targeted disinformation is mostly right-wing extremist. Suspiciously persecuted pastors or unpleasant book authors must, if necessary, be brought into line in court for incitement of the people. Spreading hate and baiting leads to house searches with confiscation of smartphones and computers. Affected East Germans who have posted a yellow Jewish star are reminded less of the occult seal of Solomon’s ring than of the shield and sword of the obsolete Stasi emblem. Police officers and politicians can crack down. Other, outdated paragraphs and possible punishments must be abolished in a modernization of the world view. The Federal Working Group of Gays, Pederasts and Transsexuals almost succeeded in the demand to mitigate §§ 174 and 176 StGB by making it a party program. The pedophilia debate of Alliance 90/The Greens, however, was of less concern to concerned parents. According to the investigating police, fears and emotions must not be stirred up in a general suspicion. It is not necessary to investigate which protagonists are guilty of child abuse, nor to make assumptions about why our girls are being slaughtered at knifepoint on their way to school.

The saying “We can do it!” has been turned into “We will have to forgive each other a lot!” by Christian party bigwigs.

The conversion role model from the other shore of the Black Bottom pond wants to heal what seems incurable and reconcile bitter opposites as a tightrope walk in a bestseller. Neat, that is also good, so fully integrated therapists profit immensely from it. Further winners in a European anti-discrimination campaign for the purpose of promoting diversity and inclusion, in the given unity thinking, are all protesters who define themselves as diverse or with other fashionable terms that are difficult to understand. In the fair of possibilities, the nonsensical counterpart may not even be denied to dress up and identify as a pet. With the prevailing minorities, the playing along population and even the anti-racist national soccer team must make themselves one. Sporting losers at the World Cup in the backward Orient are no more heroes together with blameless citizens at home who cling to time-honored patterns of behavior. I am thinking, for example, of the traditional image of founding a family through the marriage of a man and a woman. The Song of Songs is no longer read by marriage-averse, early-sexualized youth in search of themselves. Instead, in a sensory overload, they consume beguiling TikTok videos about who can shake their ass the fastest. In addition to collecting one’s own erotic experiences, the goal is to get as many likes and subscribers as possible. Looking good is not only everything on OnlyFans. On ZDFneo, the seductive Mai Thi lectures our offspring as an almond-eyed beauty and science journalist on what to believe about left-wing ideas at the moment.

Is the nonsense about sex, sanitary towels and bathrobes enough?

Those who present themselves in the “Caution, Reichelt!” interview as knowledgeable and eloquent, stand in the inherited castle in front of the massive bookshelf. Like Gloria von Thurn und Taxis, I am in favor of keeping intimate details in the bedroom and not revealing them to the public. Nevertheless, there are doubts as to whether the princess with a huge fortune has the unique ability to say what millions of people are thinking. As an ex-Catholic, I prefer to stick to Martin Luther, who looked the people in the mouth to translate the Bible. Now, as stated at the beginning, there can be found millennia old wisdom literature in the Book of Books that truly elevates the inquisitive student to a higher level. With it the bow is stretched on another nobleman, namely king Solomon. This one is considered not only the main character and author of the romantic Song of Songs, but also the rather pessimistic preacher who considers everything to be null and void. Vanity of vanities! Everything is vanity and a whisking after the wind. There is nothing new under the sun is another main message of Ecclesiastes, even if many readers think that the Old Testament is outdated. The sun may be billions of years old and still continues to delight us with its warming radiance. In science meets wisdom, the blogging author puts the argument about evolution or creationism at the end. It should be unchallenged that one learns from mistakes. Less logical is that history shows that man learns nothing from history. We Germans have much experience and were assured in school lessons that the dictatorship of the Third Reich or the Thalidomide scandal can never be repeated.

Congratulations on the understanding!

The writer is a recidivist regarding the study of the book of Proverbs in his search for knowledge about the course of the worlds. The wisdom sayings are largely attributed to King Solomon. As an observer of nature, the most intelligent man of his time could answer any difficult question posed by the Ethiopian queen who had traveled far. But when the Queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of King Solomon, she was beside herself with amazement in 1 Kings chapter 10 and said:

The word is true which I have heard in my country concerning thy nature and concerning thy wisdom. And I did not believe the words until I came and saw it with my own eyes. And behold, I have not been told the half of it. Thou hast more wisdom and possession than the fame that I have heard. Blessed are thy people and thy servants, which stand always before thee, and hear thy wisdom. Blessed be the LORD your God, who has had pleasure in you, that he has set you on the throne of Israel. Because the Lord loves Israel forever, he has appointed you king to uphold justice and righteousness.

As is known, the revered ruler prayed not for wealth but for wisdom, so that his people would be judged in righteousness. The surprising judgment of Solomon in the dispute over the true sonship of two prostitutes is still on everyone’s lips today. However, the invitation and promise of wisdom from Proverbs chapter 8 goes unheard with many children of men:

1 Does not wisdom call, and does not prudence make itself heard? 2 Publicly by the way she stands, and at the crossroads of the streets; 3 At the gates at the exit of the city, and at the entrance of the gate she cries out: 4 O men, to you I call, and lift up my voice to the children of men! 5 Take heed, ye unwise, to prudence; and ye foolish, take heed to understanding. 6 Give ear, for I speak what is noble, and my lips speak what is right. 7 For my mouth speaks truth, and my lips hate what is ungodly. 8 All the speeches of my mouth are righteous; there is nothing perverse or false in them. 9 They are all right for those who have understanding, and right for those who have found knowledge. 10 Receive my discipline rather than silver, and esteem knowledge more highly than precious gold. 11 For wisdom is better than pearls, and all that may be desired cannot equal it. 12 I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find understanding and good counsel. 13 The fear of the LORD hateth evil: I am an enemy to pride and arrogance, to wickedness and perverseness of speech. 14 Both counsel and action are mine; I have understanding and might.

Proverbs chapter 9 adds: 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and to know the Holy One is understanding. 11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall increase. 12 If thou be wise, thou shalt bear it: if thou be a scoffer, thou shalt bear it alone. 13 Woman folly is unruly, deceitful, knowing nothing. 14 She sits at the door of her house on a throne in the high places of the city, 15 inviting all who pass by and walk rightly in her way: 16 “Let him who is still without understanding enter here!” and to the fool she says, 17 “Stolen water is sweet, and secret bread tastes fine.” 18 But he does not know that only the shadows dwell there, that their guests dwell in the depths of death.

And in Proverbs chapter 7 it is prefaced as a warning against the harlot: 4 Say to wisdom, Thou art my sister, and call prudence thy friend, 5 that she may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger that giveth smooth words. 6 For at the window of my house I looked through the lattice 7 and saw one among the unwise, and beheld among the young men a youth without understanding. 8 Who went over the lane to her corner, and so walked by the way to her house 9 In the twilight, in the evening of the day, when it was night and dark. 10 And, behold, there met him a woman in a harlot’s garment, cunning, 11 wild, and unruly, that her feet could not stay in her house. 12 Now she is outside, now in the alley, lurking on every corner. 13 And she catches him and kisses him, and becomes bold, and says, 14 “I had thank offerings to make; today I have fulfilled my vows. 15 Therefore I went out to meet you, to look for you, and I have found you. 16 I have beautifully adorned my bed with colorful blankets from Egypt. 17 I have sprinkled my bed with myrrh, with aloes and cinnamon. 18 Come, let us drink our fill of love until morning; let us enjoy love. 19 For the man is not at home, he has gone on a long journey. 20 He has taken the purse with him; he will not return home until the full moon.” 21 She persuades him with many words and wins him over with her smooth mouth. 22 He immediately follows her, like a bull being led to the slaughter, and like a deer running into the net, 23 until the arrow splits his liver; like a bird hastening to the snare, not knowing that it is for life. 24 Hearken therefore unto me, my sons, and hearken unto the speech of my mouth. 25 Let not thine heart depart from their way, nor wander from their course. 26 For many are the slain whom she hath slain, and many are they whom she hath slain. 27 Her house is the way into the realm of the dead, where one goes down into the chambers of death.

For men it becomes indiscreet. Have you ever gone to a whorehouse or cheated on your wife? In ancient times, adultery was punishable by death. Fortunately, as an unmarried youth, I had great respect for AIDS and STDs when acting out my sexual urges. Who would have thought that in a world hit by “The Animals” the singer Eric Burden would treat the same doom theme with the house of the rising sun:

There is a house way down in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it’s been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I’m one

Self-knowledge is the first step to improvement. The self-righteous Pharisee is proud of his religious deeds. The justified sinner, on the other hand, beats his chest and prays Lord have mercy on me. The main problem in a decaying civilization is that the people do not realize they are on the wrong path in a godless life.

The thinking and striving of the heart of man is evil from youth!

Thus spoke the Lord after the flood in Genesis 8 and Ecclesiastes 9, 3b confirms:

And for this the heart of men is full of wickedness, and folly is in their heart while they live; after that they must die.

5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; neither have they any more a reward, for their memory is forgotten.

A godless fool likes to scoff at ending up in hell. He who is wise thinks about death. From Moses’ prayer in Psalm 90 we learn:

10 Our life is seventy years, and when it comes to the end, it is eighty years; and what seems delicious in it is but vain toil; for it passes quickly away, as if we were flying away. 11 But who knows the strength of your anger, and who fears you in your wrath? 12 Teach us to remember that we must die, that we may attain to a heart of wisdom.

Being a disciple is about becoming wise. Actually, one continues to educate oneself all one’s life. Since a lot of studying makes the body tired, it is most convenient to be entertained on the screen. Seduction is most easily done through the eye. A lot of money can be made with it. Marketing experts also take advantage of this in advertising. Obedience, however, comes from listening. How about learning more about the Bible for a change? On the Internet, the Word of God can be found as an audio book in almost every language. As a special revelation, at the end of Scripture, there is a warning about the whore of Babylon. A whore performs her service of love only against payment. From an early age, we are accustomed to having to spend money if we want something. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, when the question of obtaining eternal life is raised, it is pointed out that on the way from Jerusalem to Jericho a man falls among the robbers, is stripped and beaten half to death.

Proverbs 1 warns against involvement with 10 My son, if sinners try to persuade you, do not follow them. 11 If they say, “Go with us! We want to lie in wait for blood, want to go after the righteous for no reason.

However, the sacrificial help then surprisingly did not come from the expected side at all. In the pursuit of earthly pleasures and wealth, as if a thief comes in the night, you will lose your life surprisingly. In contrast to the insurance system of treatment and care of the sick, where criminal pharmaceutical companies are making big money, another pays the ransom for your salvation. Jesus Christ died as the Lamb of God on the cross of Calvary for our guilt. Out of love for us, He paid the immeasurable price through His precious shed blood for us to be reconciled to God the Father. Do we want to be children of the devil who offers us all the riches of this world, or do we pray the Lord’s Prayer? As a destination, choosing Babylon or the New Jerusalem is the crucial question. The Apostle Paul asks the Corinthians:

Do you not know that whoever unites himself with the harlot is one flesh with her? But he who unites himself with God is one spirit with him.

As our daily bread, we need the Word of God. In a personal relationship, we speak to our partner. God is spirit. Whoever comes to him and prays will worship him in spirit and truth:

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom
and the power
and the glory
for ever and ever.
Amen.

Ps.: Science starts with a huge explosion whose followers are convinced that it took place 13.8 billion years ago. Wisdom assumes a higher intelligence than our own. The creed of Western Christianity begins with:

I believe in God, the Father,
the Almighty,
the creator of heaven and earth.
