Psalm 1
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but delights in the law of the LORD, and ponders his law day and night! He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and whose leaf does not wither; and all that he does succeeds. Not so the wicked, but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Psalm 150
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in the firmament of his strength. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him according to the fullness of his greatness! Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with harp and lute! Praise him with tambourine and round dance; praise him with strings and pipes! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with resounding cymbals! All that has breath, praise Jah! Hallelujah!

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside still waters. He restores my soul; he leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the face of mine enemies; thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Only goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 133
Behold, how good and how sweet it is when brothers dwell together in one accord! Like the precious oil on the head that flows down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, that flows down on the hem of his garments. Like the dew of Hermon that descends on the mountains of Zion, for there the LORD has promised blessing, life forevermore.

Psalm 2
Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot vain things? The kings of the earth stand up, and the princes take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed: “Let us break their bands, and cast away their cords from us!” He who is enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord mocks them. Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and in his fury of anger he will terrify them. “Have I anointed my king upon Zion, my holy mountain!” Of the decree I will tell: The Lord has spoken to me: Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I will give you for an inheritance the nations, and for a possession the ends of the earth. With a scepter of iron thou shalt smite them, as a potter’s vessel shalt smite them. And now, you kings, be wise, be reproved, you judges of the earth! Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling! Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, for easily is his wrath kindled. Blessed are all who trust in him!

Psalm 110
The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool. The rod of your might the LORD will send out of Zion; rule in the midst of your enemies! Thy people shall be full of valor in the day of thy power; in holy splendor, out of the bosom of the dawn shall come the dew of thy youth. Sworn the Lord, and it shall not repent him, “Thou art a priest for ever after the manner of Melchizedek!” The Lord at your right hand will crush kings in the day of his wrath. He will judge among the nations, he will fill everything with corpses; the head over a great land he will crush. On the way he will drink from the brook; therefore he will lift up the head.

Psalm 8
O LORD our ruler, how glorious is your name in all the earth, who have set your majesty above the heavens! Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings you have established power for the sake of your oppressors, to silence the enemy and the avenger. When I look upon thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars which thou hast prepared: What is man that thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that thou art mindful of him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels; with glory and splendor hast thou crowned him. Thou hast made him ruler over the works of thy hands; all things hast thou put under his feet: Sheep and oxen all, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, what passes through the paths of the seas. O LORD our ruler, how glorious is your name in all the earth!

Psalm 100
All the earth rejoice in the Lord! Serve the Lord with gladness, come before his face with rejoicing! Recognize that the Lord is God! He has made us, and not we ourselves, his people and sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, his courts with praise! Praise him, give thanks to his name! For good is the Lord. His mercy endures forever, and his faithfulness from generation to generation.

Psalm 19
The heavens tell the glory of God, and the expanse proclaims the work of his hands. One day reports it to another, and one night makes known the message to another. There is no speech and there are no words whose voice is inaudible. Their sound goes out over the whole earth, and to the end of the world their language. He has set a tent for the sun in the sky. And it is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and it rejoices like a hero to pass through the course. It rises at one end of the sky and runs around to the other end, and nothing is hidden from its glow. The law of the Lord is perfect and refreshes the soul. The testimony of the Lord is reliable and makes the simple wise. The precepts of the Lord are right and gladden the heart. The commandment of the Lord is loud and enlightens the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure and endures forever. The ordinances of the Lord are true and are all righteous. They are more precious than gold and much fine gold, and sweeter than honey and honey germ. Also thy servant is instructed by them, and in their observance is great reward. Errors, who sees them? From hidden sins absolve me. Keep thy servant from the proud, that they rule not over me! Then I am blameless and am pure from great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer!

Psalm 139
Lord, you have searched me out and known me. You know my sitting and my rising; You understand my thoughts from afar. You test my walking and my lying down, and are familiar with all my ways. For the word is not yet on my tongue; behold, Lord, you know it well. On every side you surround me and hold your hand over me. This knowledge is too wonderful for me, too high, I cannot grasp it! Where should I go before your spirit, and where should I flee from your face? If I go up to heaven, you are there; and if I lie down with the dead, behold, you are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I lie down at the farthest end of the sea, even there thy hand shall guide me, and thy right hand shall grasp me. And if I said, Let darkness envelop me, and let night be the light around me, even the darkness would not be dark to thee, and the night would shine as the day, the darkness would be as the light. For you formed my kidneys; you wove me in my mother’s womb. I praise you about this, that I am made in an amazing, excellent way. Wonderful are thy works, and my soul knoweth it well. My bones were not veiled from thee when I was made in secret, wrought artfully in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes saw me when I was not yet prepared, and in thy book were written all the days that were yet to come, when none of them were. And how delicious are your thoughts to me, O God! How mighty are their sums! If I wanted to count them, they would be more numerous than the sand. When I awake, I am still with thee. Ah, wouldst thou, O God, slay the outlaw! And you blood men, depart from me! For they speak deceitfully against thee, swearing to falsehood, thine enemies. Shall I not hate, O Lord, them that hate thee, and abhor them that rise up against thee? With perfect hatred I hate them; they have become enemies to me. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any way of toil with me, and guide me in the way everlasting!

Psalm 51
Be gracious unto me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according to the greatness of thy mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me clean from my iniquity, and purify me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is continually before me. Against thee, against thee only, have I sinned, and I have done that which is evil in thine eyes; that thou mayest be found right when thou speakest, pure when thou judgest. Behold, in iniquity was I born, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou lovest truth that is in secret, and in secret thou wilt teach me wisdom. Defile me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear gladness and joy, and the bones you have crushed will rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities! Create for me, O God, a clean heart, and renew within me a steadfast spirit! Do not cast me away from your face, and do not take away the spirit of your holiness from me! Let the joy of your salvation return to me, and with a willing spirit strengthen me! I will teach the transgressors thy ways, that sinners may turn unto thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation, and my tongue shall exult in thy righteousness. Open my lips, O Lord, that my mouth may declare thy praise. For you have no pleasure in sacrifices, or I would give them to you; in burnt offerings you have no pleasure. The sacrifices that please God are a broken spirit; a broken and bruised heart thou wilt not, O God, despise. Do good in your favor to Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem! Then you will delight in sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt offerings and whole sacrifices; then bulls will be offered on your altar.

Psalm 91
He who sits under the umbrella of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I say to the LORD, My refuge and my fortress; my God in whom I trust. For he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the pestilent plague. With his wings he will cover thee, and thou shalt find refuge under his wings; his faithfulness is shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror of the night, of the arrow that flies by day, of the pestilence that walks in darkness, of the plague that brings destruction at noon. A thousand will fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, so it will not strike you. Yea, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, and shalt see how the wicked shall be recompensed. For the LORD is thy confidence, the Most High is thy refuge. No evil shall befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent. For he hath commanded his angels to keep thee in all thy ways. They will carry you on their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. On lions and vipers you will tread, young lions and serpents you will tread down. Because he loves me, therefore I will save him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in tribulation; I will deliver him and bring him to honor. I will satisfy him with long life and make him see my salvation.

Psalm 27
The Lord is my light and my salvation; of whom should I be afraid? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom should I be afraid? When evildoers approach to devour my flesh, my oppressors and my enemies, they must stumble and fall. If an army encamps against me, yet my heart is not afraid; if war arises against me, even so I am comforted. One thing have I asked of the LORD, and this will I seek: To dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the loveliness of the Lord, and to search for him in his temple. For he will shelter me in his tabernacle in the day of evil, he will hide me in the secret place of his tent; on a rock he will exalt me. And now my head shall be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; and sacrifices of rejoicing will I offer in his tent; I will sing and play unto the LORD. O Lord, hear my voice when I call; be gracious to me, and hear me. Of thee hath my heart said, Thou speakest, seek my face. Thy face, O Lord, will I seek. Hide not thy face from me; turn not away thy servant in anger. You have been my help, do not reject me and do not forsake me, God of my salvation! For my father and mother forsake me, but the LORD receiveth me. Show me, O LORD, your way, and lead me in a level path for the sake of my enemies. Do not give me up to the greed of my oppressors, for false witnesses have risen up against me and are uttering threats. Yet I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord! Be strong, and let your heart take courage, and wait on the Lord.

Psalm 121
I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence cometh my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to falter; he that keepeth thee will not sleep. Behold, the keeper of Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers. The LORD is thy keeper; the LORD is thy shadow over thy right hand. The sun shall not sting thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil; he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall keep thy going out and thy coming in from henceforth even for ever.

Psalm 42
As a deer longs for fresh water, so my soul longs for you, O God! My soul thirsts for God, for the living God: when will I come and appear before God’s face? My tears have become food for me day and night, when all day long they say to me, Where is your God? I will remember this and pour out my soul upon myself, as I went forth in a great multitude, solemnly walking with them to the house of God, with the voice of rejoicing and praise, in the celebrating multitude. Why do you grieve, my soul, and are so troubled within me? Wait upon God, for I will yet thank him for the salvation of his face. My God my soul is troubled; therefore I remember thee in the land of Jordan and Hermon, in mount Mizhar. A deep cries to the deep at the roar of thy waves of waters; all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. By day the LORD shall offer his kindness, and by night his song shall be with me, a prayer unto the God of my life. I will say to God my rock, Why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the enemy’s oppression? Like murder in my bones my oppressors mock me, saying to me all day long, Where is your God? Why do you grieve, my soul, and are so troubled within me? Wait on God, for I will yet praise him who is the salvation of my countenance and my God.

Psalm 103
Praise the Lord, my soul, and all that is within me his holy name! Praise the Lord, my soul, and do not forget the good he has done you! Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with grace and mercy, who satiates with good your old age and makes you young again like an eagle. The Lord executes justice and establishes righteousness to all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the children of Israel. Merciful and gracious is the LORD, slow to anger and great in kindness. He will not always be right and will not remain angry forever. He hath not done unto us according to our sins, nor recompensed us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his mercy upon them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, he has removed from us our transgressions. As a father has mercy on his children, so the Lord has mercy on those who fear him. For he knows our structure; he remembers that we are dust. Man in his life is like grass, he blossoms like a flower of the field, so he blossoms. When a wind passes over it, it is no more, and its place it knows no more. But the goodness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto their children’s children upon them that keep his covenant, and remember his precepts to do them. The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty in power, who carry out his command, obedient to the voice of his word! Praise the Lord, all his hosts, you his servants who do his will! Praise the Lord, all his works, in all places of his dominion! Praise the Lord, my soul!

Psalm 11
With the Lord I have taken refuge. How then do you say to my soul, Flee like a bird to the mountains? For behold, the lawless draw their bow and put their arrow on the string to shoot in darkness at those who are upright in heart. If the foundation pillars are overturned, what shall the righteous do? The Lord is in His holy temple. The throne of the Lord is in the heavens. His eyes look down, his eye flashes test the children of men. The Lord tests the righteous, but the lawless and the one who loves violence his soul hates. He will rain fire and brimstone on the lawless. Ember wind will be the part of their cup. For the Lord is righteous, and he loves righteousness. The upright shall behold his face.

Psalm 131
O Lord, my heart is not haughty, and my eyes are not proud. I do not go about great things too wonderful for me. Yea, I have calmed and stilled my soul. Like a weaned child with his mother, like the weaned child, my soul is within me. Harvest, O Israel, in the Lord, from henceforth even for ever!

Psalm 90
Lord, you have been our dwelling place from generation to generation. Before the mountains were made, and the earth and the world were created, you, O God, are from everlasting to everlasting, who turnest man to dust, saying, Come again, children of men. For a thousand years are before thee as the day that passed yesterday, and as a night watch. Thou makest them to pass away like a river; they are as a sleep, as grass, which soon fadeth, which early flourisheth, and soon fadeth, and in the evening is cut down and withereth. This is the reason for your anger, that we perish so, and your wrath, that we perish so suddenly. For thou hast set our iniquities before thee, and our hidden sins in the light of thy countenance. Therefore all our days pass away by thy wrath; we spend our years as a sigh. Our life lasts seventy years, and when it comes to the end, it is eighty years, and when it has been delicious, it has been toil and labor; for it passes quickly away, as if we were flying away. Who will believe that you are so angry, and who will be afraid of your wrath? Teach us to remember that we must die, that we may be wise. Lord, return to us and be merciful to your servants. Fill us early with thy grace, that we may glory and be glad all our days. Make us glad again after you have so long afflicted us, after we have so long suffered misfortune. Show thy servants thy works, and thy glory to their children. And the Lord our God, be kind to us and promote over us the work of our hands! Yea, the work of our hands may he promote!

Psalm 137
By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion. By the willows that are there we hung up our harps. For they that carried us away captive there required of us the words of a song, and our tormentors that we should be merry: “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!” How should we sing a song of the Lord in a foreign land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, my rights shall be forgotten! Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not exalt Jerusalem above the highest of my joys! Remember, O LORD, the day of Jerusalem unto the sons of Edom, when they said: Destroy, destroy her to her foundations! Daughter of Babylon, you shall be laid waste! Blessed is He who repays you for what you have done to us! Blessed is He who takes your children and crushes them on the rock.

Psalm 14
The fool says in his heart: There is no God! They act corruptly and their doings are abominable; there is none who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of men to see if there is one who understands, one who seeks God. All have gone astray, they are all corrupt, there is none who does good, not even one. Do not the evildoers have knowledge, who eat my people as if they were eating bread? They do not call upon the Lord. Then terror fell upon them, for God is among the righteous generation. Ye make a mockery of the counsel of the wretched, but the LORD is his refuge. Oh that from Zion salvation would come upon Israel! When the Lord turns the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, Israel shall be glad.

Psalm 96
Sing to the Lord a new song, sing to the Lord the whole earth! Sing to the Lord, praise his name, proclaim his salvation from day to day! Tell his glory among the nations, his wonders among all peoples! For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; terrible is he above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are vain idols, but the Lord has made the heavens. Majesty and splendor are before his face, strength and glory in his sanctuary. Give to the Lord, you tribes of nations, give to the Lord glory and strength! Give the Lord the glory of his name. Bring offerings and come into his courts! Worship the Lord in holy splendor! Let the whole earth tremble before him! Say among the nations: The Lord reigns as King! Therefore the world shall stand firm; it shall not shake. He will judge the nations in righteousness. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad. Let the sea and its multitude roar! Let the field rejoice, and all that is therein! Then all the trees of the forest will rejoice before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth! He will judge the world in righteousness and the nations with his truth.

Psalm 117
Praise the Lord, all nations! Praise him, all peoples! For his mercy is mighty upon us. The faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Hallelujah!

Psalm 24
The earth is the Lord’s and its fullness, the world and those who dwell in it. For he, he has founded it above the seas and fortified it above the rivers. Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord, and who may stand in his holy place? He who has innocent hands and is pure in heart, who is not intent on falsehood and does not swear to deceit. He will receive blessings from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face – this is Jacob! Sela. Lift up your heads, O gates, and arise, everlasting gates, that the King of glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? It is the Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates, and arise, everlasting gates, that the King of glory may come in! Who is the King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.
